The European Language Certificates are a system of language tests based on the Council of Europe's Common Framework of Reference for Language Learning. Different skills in several languages are tested at different levels. The tests are created on the basis of central tasks according to published criteria, organized across Europe according to uniform implementation regulations and evaluated centrally according to identical assessment criteria. The certificates are recognized worldwide.

Prep courses
Flying Teachers offers a wide range of prep courses for all TELC exams.
Exam result
Exam results are published 6–8 weeks after the exam. Exams are deemed to have been passed if with a mark of at least 60% in both exam papers.
Exam format and length
A1:
The examination consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 70 minutes. You usually take the oral exam immediately afterwards without any further preparation time.

The exam consists of a written and oral part. The written exam lasts 80 mins. You have 20 minutes prep time before the oral exam. The oral exam may be taken on the same day as the written exam or on another day.
