TELC English A1/A2 Bern

The European Language Certificates are a system of language tests that are based on the Council of Europe's Framework of Reference for Language Learning. Different skills are tested in several languages at different levels. The exams are created on the basis of central tasks according to published criteria, organized across Europe according to uniform implementation regulations and centrally evaluated according to identical evaluation criteria. The certificates are recognized worldwide.

Exam results

The results will be announced 6-8 weeks after the exam. Certificate exams are considered passed if at least 60% of the points are achieved in both parts of the exam.

Note: If there are fewer than 2 participants, additional fees may apply for conducting a private exam. Further information on request.

Exam format and length A1

The exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 80 mins. The oral exam is normally taken directly after the written exam without preparatory time.

Exam format and length A2

The exam consists of a written and an oral part. The written exam lasts 80 mins. Candidates have 15 minutes preparation time before the oral exam. The oral exam can be taken on the same day as the written exam, or on a different one.
