Alphabetisation Intensive

In these courses you will improve your reading and writing skills in order to participate in everyday and professional life in Switzerland. Thanks to the flexible course organisation, the content is specifically adapted to your personal needs.

In addition to the Latin alphabet, you will also learn the basics of the German language and the education system in Switzerland. At the same time, you will also acquire everyday maths and IT skills as well as learning and working techniques.

Course targets

Participants expand their German knowledge and familiarise themselves with the Latin alphabet.. They will master the letters of the German alphabet both phonetically and graphically.

  • Recognising, understanding, reading and writing letters, words and simple sentences
  • Numbers and everyday maths
  • Basic knowledge of the German language
  • German skills relevant to everyday life and the job market
  • Job market and education system in Switzerland
  • Learning strategies
  • Information and communication technologies

Target group

The course is aimed at foreign-language speaking adults with a migration background, in particular refugees and temporarily admitted persons aged 16 and over who are not or not sufficiently literate in the Latin alphabet.

Notes

The courses have a modular structure. After completing a module, it is possible to seamlessly move on to the next module.
