This year-round program is aimed at teenagers and young adults who want to prepare for upper secondary level.
The offer includes 28 lessons of school education per week with a focus on language support at A2 level, mathematics, ICT and general education. In addition to the German language, you will also learn about the job market and the education system in Switzerland. In the application training, learners receive information about the application process and immediately apply what they have learned. In addition to industry-specific language skills, this also includes everyday mathematics and ICT knowledge as well as learning and work techniques and general education.
The knowledge acquired is applied in learning workshops and supervised self-study, so that learning transfer is ensured. Joint activities and excursions also support the personal development of the learners and group dynamics.
Course target
The participants:
- Expand their German language skills in all areas of language proficiency (Levels A1-A2).
- Acquire basic knowledge in mathematics, ICT, and general education.
- Create a resume and can navigate the job market.
- Deepen their knowledge of the Swiss education system.

Target group
The programme is aimed at refugees and temporarily admitted persons who
- are literate in the Latin alphabet.
- are approximately between 16 and 25 years old.
- have German language skills at level A1 (according to GER).
- want to prepare for the standard structures of secondary level II (pre-integration apprenticeship, basic vocational training, etc.).
Notes
Before the course starts, a comprehensive placement test takes place on site.
There are no lessons during Zurich city holidays and public holidays.
