Früher war das Thema Alphabetisierung für mich weitgehend unbekannt. Durch den Kurs habe ich einen guten Überblick bekommen, was Alphabetisierung bedeutet und warum sie wichtig ist. Der Unterricht war spannend und abwechslungsreich – ich habe mich nie gelangweilt. Besonders gefallen hat mir, dass wir nicht nur theoretisches Wissen bekommen haben, sondern auch viele praktische Beispiele und Übungen gemacht haben.
Course description:
You have teaching experience in German as a foreign or second language at a beginner level or In the area of integration and would like to further educate yourself in the area of literacy?
In this course you will learn the basics of literacy didactics as well as textbooks and materials for teaching students learning first and second writing.
Learning objective
The teachers:
- acquire the methodological and didactic knowledge in teaching non-literate people and those learning to read a second language
- can classify, advise and assess participants
- get to know teaching materials
- can promote learner autonomy while taking socio-cultural and biographical aspects into account
Course content:
- Introduction to literacy
- Analysis of the target group(s)
- Didactic principles in literacy lessons
- Variety of methods
- Introduction to the textbook “Steps plus Alpha New”
- Job-related German in the literacy course
Course suitable for:
Persons wishing to teach or already teaching literacy courses for adults.
