GER

The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is designed to assess progress in learning a foreign language. Its main goal is to make various European language certificates comparable and to establish a standard benchmark for acquiring language skills.

GER levels
Level A1

You can understand familiar words and simple sentences. You can communicate in a basic way in everyday situations. You can write a short, simple postcard or message.

Level A2

Basic Level 2 - You can understand very simple information and locate concrete details in simple texts. You can communicate in basic, routine situations. You can write short, simple notes and messages.

Level B1

Intermediate 1 - You can understand the main points related to familiar topics such as work, school, and leisure. You can comprehend texts in everyday or professional language. You can participate in conversations about topics like family, hobbies, work, and travel, and share your experiences and impressions.

Level B2

Intermediate 2 - You can follow longer speeches and understand texts on both concrete and abstract topics. You are able to communicate with native speakers in regular conversations. You can present information and arguments in reports effectively.

Level C1

Upper level 1 - You can follow longer speeches and understand texts on concrete and abstract topics. You can communicate with native speakers in normal conversations. You can present information and arguments in reports, discussions, or presentations, and effectively express your ideas.

Level C2

Upper Level 2 - At this level, you can easily understand virtually everything you read and hear. You can summarize information from different sources, present reasons and explanations coherently, and express yourself fluently and precisely in any situation, even in highly complex or nuanced contexts.
