Wir möchten allen Teilnehmenden, Partnern, Organisatoren und Unterstützenden unseren herzlichen Dank aussprechen, die die ICC Tagung 2026 zu einer inspirierenden und wertvollen Veranstaltung gemacht haben.
Die spannenden Begegnungen, der offene Austausch und die vielfältigen Perspektiven haben Zürich während dieser Tage zu einem besonderen Ort des Lernens, der Zusammenarbeit und der Innovation gemacht.
Wir hoffen, dass die Gespräche, die in Zürich begonnen haben, weit über diese Konferenz hinaus weitergeführt werden und neue Verbindungen nachhaltig stärken.

Interview in der Handelszeitung: Grundkompetenzen für erfolgreiche Karrieren
In der Handelszeitung-Beilage Opinomic «20 Programs. 20 Careers» erläutert Antonio B. Adrover, Mitglied der Geschäftsführung von Flying Teachers, weshalb Grundkompetenzen für Unternehmen und Mitarbeitende heute ein zentraler Erfolgsfaktor sind.
Seit fast drei Jahrzehnten begleitet Flying Teachers Firmen mit massgeschneiderten Programmen: von Fremdsprachenkompetenzen für Führungskräfte bis zur gezielten Förderung von Grundkompetenzen in den Bereichen mündliche Kommunikation, Lesen, Schreiben, Rechnen und digitalen Anwendungen.

Thema im Interview war auch die 33. ICC-Jahreskonferenz, die Flying Teachers als Mitorganisatorin und Hauptsponsorin erstmalig in die Schweiz holt. Vom 8. bis 10. Mai 2026 findet die Fachtagung zu Mehrsprachigkeit und Integration in der Erwachsenenbildung im Landesmuseum Zürich statt. Die Konferenz schafft eine Plattform für den Austausch zwischen internationaler Expertise und Schweizer Praxis.

Swiss Excellence für Pakistan
Flying Teachers is strengthening its partnership with Pakistan and exploring new opportunities for cooperation in the education space.
As part of the “Enhancing Language Training Capacity – Teaching of the Trainers (ToT)” project, which Flying Teachers is implementing in Pakistan on behalf of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), we welcomed a Pakistani delegation to Switzerland. We also received an invitation to the World Economic Forum (WEF), where we had the opportunity to present Flying Teachers to distinguished guests at the Pakistan Pavilion.
Following this, a Flying Teachers delegation travelled to Pakistan. The trip, organized by the Swiss Business Council, was held under the motto “Swiss Excellence for Pakistan.” The goal was to get to know partner institutions and explore further opportunities for cooperation, particularly in the following areas:
- Teacher training & train-the-trainer programs
- Teaching basic skills Language courses for companies
- Language courses for companies
- Collaboration in vocational education and training (VET )
Networking on site led to valuable contacts. We look forward to deepening our partnership and implementing new, forward-looking educational projects.
Neuer Flying Teachers Standort in Bülach
Flying Teachers erweitert sein Bildungsangebot im Zürcher Unterland: Ab sofort finden Sprachkurse und Weiterbildungen auch am neuen Standort direkt am Bahnhof Bülach statt.
Der neue Schulungsraum überzeugt durch seine zentrale Lage, moderne Infrastruktur und eine inspirierende Lernatmosphäre. Dank der hervorragenden Anbindung an den öffentlichen Verkehr ist der Standort bequem erreichbar und bietet ideale Voraussetzungen für praxisnahes Lernen sowie einen lebendigen Austausch in der Gruppe.
Mit dem neuen Standort stärkt Flying Teachers seine regionale Präsenz im Zürcher Unterland und schafft zusätzliche Möglichkeiten für Weiterbildung in Bülach und Umgebung. Das Kursangebot wird laufend erweitert und umfasst verschiedene Sprach- und Weiterbildungskurse für individuelle Bedürfnisse.

The 33rd Annual ICC Conference
The 33rd Annual ICC Conference – the International Language Association – will take place from May 8 to 10, 2026, in Zurich, Switzerland.
The conference serves as a platform for exchanging innovative ideas, sharing research results, and discussing the challenges and opportunities in language teaching. Scholars and practitioners will come together to explore the conference theme and promote discourse on language teaching and learning.
The conference is organized by Flying Teachers.

Support for Gyoparosfürdö in Oroshaza, Hungary
Near our back office lies the thermal spa Gyoparosfürdö, the heart of this remote region in southern Hungary.
Due to mismanagement by the state, the thermal spa was driven into bankruptcy within a few months last year.
The shock was profound and the existential threat to the local population was considerable.
More than 60 people lost their jobs, over 200 families who depended on tourism had to forgo their income, and countless suppliers lost their contracts.
In an unprecedented act of solidarity, the community came together, donated money, and many craftsmen carried out repairs free of charge.
The spa was able to reopen in summer 2025.
Flying Teachers also contributed to the reopening with a donation.
In the future, the marketing department of Flying Teachers, with the support of Walter Rüegg, will assist the thermal spa and take on marketing tasks. We have prepared a marketing analysis and developed measures that we will implement together with those responsible.

Weihnachtsfest 2025
Mit grosser Freude durften wir auch in diesem Jahr unsere Mitarbeitenden und Lehrpersonen zu unserem Weihnachtsfest willkommen heissen. In festlicher Atmosphäre wurde gelacht, angeregt diskutiert und gemeinsam auf die Erfolge des vergangenen Jahres zurückgeblickt.
Es war ein stimmungsvoller Abend voller Begegnungen, Wertschätzung und herzlicher Gespräche, ein wunderbarer Moment, um das Jahr gemeinsam abzuschliessen und mit Vorfreude ins neue zu blicken.
Language development and teaching competencies through international educational cooperation
Flying Teachers has been commissioned by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to implement the international project "Enhancing Language Training Capacities – Teaching of the Trainers (ToT)" in Pakistan.
The project is co-funded by the European Union and the Federal Republic of Germany and is carried out by GIZ in cooperation with the International Language Association (ICC).
This initiative sends a strong message in support of teacher training, international collaboration, and the development of sustainable educational structures in Pakistan.
The project aims to strengthen the quality of training for language teachers in Pakistan and beyond. Its focus lies on building sustainable training structures, promoting modern pedagogical standards, and further developing competencies in language education.
We look forward to supporting the implementation of this significant project and sharing exciting insights into its progress.

Successful presence at the Expat Expo in Geneva
We look back with great satisfaction on our highly successful participation at the Expat Expo in Geneva. Our booth was consistently well visited, and we were able to establish numerous valuable contacts. Interest in our programmes in the areas of language education for private learners, learning support for students, and teacher development was overwhelming.
The fair provided us with an ideal platform to engage in dialogue with the international community and to learn about individual educational needs. The personal exchanges once again showed us how important our services are for successful integration and personal development.
We are already looking forward to seeing you again at the Expat Expo in Zurich on Saturday, 22 November 2025.

Flying Teachers at the Integration Conference
On 6 May, @Damian Faeh, long-standing trainer in the SVEB-Eurolta and fide training programmes and Head of Teacher Training at Flying Teachers, led a workshop on "Expanding Intercultural Competence – Critical Incidents" at the Integration Conference.
The professionals in attendance received an introduction to Critical Incidents Analysis, a method that examines interculturally challenging situations as objectively as possible following a defined structure. This approach fosters intercultural competencies such as perspective-taking, empathy, role clarity and cultural knowledge.
During the workshop, several case studies were explored, leading to valuable insights among the participants.
We thank the organisers of the conference for the opportunity and for the smooth organisation.

Recently, our IAZH students had the opportunity to explore Zurich Airport. They were able to discover an exciting place, learn more about Swiss culture and expand their vocabulary along the way. ✈️✨
IAZH – Teachers’ meeting
Our valued IAZH teachers used the afternoon to develop creative ideas and work together on ways to further improve German lessons for refugees. 🧠💡
In group work, teachers from different levels of the integration courses exchanged ideas, discussed playful learning approaches and provided valuable feedback on teaching materials. An inspiring exchange that strengthens our shared mission. 🤝
