What is SVEB?

The SVEB Certificate (Swiss Association for Adult Education) enables the teacher to be a part of Swiss adult education and is now a requirement at almost all certified centres of education in Switzerland.

If you take the SVEB Certificate at Flying Teachers®, you also obtain EUROLTA certification and can consequently teach foreign languages throughout Europe.

EUROLTA (European Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults) is a qualification for both practicing and future teachers in the area of foreign language teaching to adults, which enjoys recognition by the ICC (International Certificate Conference) and other institutions worldwide. The certificate testifies to a high level of competence and professionalism in the teaching of foreign languages to adults.

The EUROLTA certificate is an official confirmation that the teacher is able to plan, lead and evaluate foreign language courses. The main area lies in daily teaching situations. The participants’ progress is documented by their own observances and practical experience in teaching.

The module foreign language didactics with model classes was uniquely developed by Flying Teachers® for you.  In the model lesson «German as a foreign language» you teach several lessons and can thus put your theoretical knowledge into practice. You are observed, and receive feedback from your colleagues and the course tutor. Thus you are the recipient of invaluable experience from the word go!
